Cool! > I've done minimal testing of 5i20 and 7i43-400, but don't have any other > cards to try. I tested 5i20/SVST8_4 and 7i43/SVST4_4S and they both pass all my tests here. I tested 3x20/SVST16_24S and it doesn't load the firmware. (Though the BITs in the emc2.git work fine.) Here's the errors the first time I try to load the firmware (my /lib/firmware/hm2 is a symlink that currently points to Jeff's BITs): Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069072] hm2_pci: discovered 3x20-1.0M at 0000:03:04.0 Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069110] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: parsing config string "num_encoders=1 num_stepgens=0 num_pwmgens=0 firmware=hm2/3x20/SVST16_24S.BIT" Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069117] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: final config: Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069119] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: num_encoders=1 Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069121] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: num_pwmgens=0 Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069123] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: num_stepgens=0 Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069125] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: enable_raw=0 Jan 18 23:57:50 skynet kernel: [ 1521.069127] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: firmware=hm2/3x20/SVST16_24S.BIT Jan 18 23:57:51 skynet kernel: [ 1521.152695] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: firmware hm2/3x20/SVST16_24S.BIT: Jan 18 23:57:51 skynet kernel: [ 1521.152703] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: work.ncd 2010/ 1/16 13:33: 3 Jan 18 23:57:51 skynet kernel: [ 1521.152706] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: Part Name: 3s1000fg456 Jan 18 23:57:51 skynet kernel: [ 1521.152709] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: FPGA Config: 402936 bytes Jan 18 23:57:51 skynet kernel: [ 1522.367066] HAL: creating parameter 'hm2_3x20.0.io_error' Jan 18 23:57:51 skynet kernel: [ 1522.377137] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: invalid cookie, got 0xFFFFFFFF, expected 0x55AACAFE Jan 18 23:57:51 skynet kernel: [ 1522.377140] hm2/hm2_3x20.0: FPGA failed to initialize, or unexpected firmware? Power-cycling restores it so it'll accept a new firmware image. All this is repeatable.
