I am in progress of implementing feedback from linear scales. Since there is significant (significant for closing feedback loop successfully) backlash in planetary gearbox, I am following Stuart Stevenson's wiki page on implementing 2 feedback devices for single joint. I also have resolvers on motors. I think that this might be useful also for You: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?Combining_Two_Feedback_Devices_On_One_Axis Viesturs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Special Offer -- Download ArcSight Logger for FREE!
