Using TkEmc   --> scripts ---> set coordinates will give you a popup  
that allows you set set g54 --> g59.3.
You can use the teach mode or edit the numbers directly. All axes are  
independent so you can set one , then move and set the next, etc
and finally write the results and exit. Ray can tell you if there are  
any more features hidden in that popup.
I use it all the time even for setting temp stuff and some not so  
temp positions.
