Clever! My gut feeling has been that clothes-dryer tumbling action would take too long, and/or remove material too aggressively, even though these ideas seem to contradict each other. Honestly, though, a lot of things I'm going to be making are so tiny - e.g. less than 1" cubed - that I'm tempted to simply return to my youth with one of these:
