Classicladder version 7.124 is in CVS TRUNK and MODBUS should work as the stand alone version except for there HAS to be a CONFIG file loaded with the classicladder userspace program. The CONFIG file could be empty-it is used to tell Classicladder to start MODBUS. eg. loadusr -w classicladder --config=testmod example.clp I have not tested beyond seeing messages sent complaining about not connecting (there was no hardware set up so was expecting this). I had no hardware available and now am very busy for a couple months away at work. Whether Modbus support is enabled in EMC 2.3 is up to you/and or the lead developers . If the lead developers don't want it enabled by default , then I see no reason to not make it available by recompiling. If you do try the TRUNK version anytime soon please let me know how it works
I apoligize as this is the only docs I have made so far: http://wiki.linuxcnc.org/cgi-bin/emcinfo.pl?ClassicLadder_Ver_7.124 cheers Chris Morley ________________________________ > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To: emc-users@lists.sourceforge.net > Date: Thu, 24 Apr 2008 21:17:16 -0400 > Subject: [Emc-users] Classicladder > > Just to clarify, Has MODBUS been enabled in classicladder in the latest EMC > release?
