I did some tests yesterday and it seems that X and Y runs back to correct zero even though the change direction before they come to the given position. Z on the other hand lives it own life. Know I'm pretty sure it's a hardware thing, either bad encoders, drivers or cable. More tests tonight when I have the new hardware. But there's one thing I don't really understand. When I run the test code the machine starts at origo. The gcode is going between 0 and 10, 200 times. Right now the speed and acceleration settings are at 90 mm/s and 250 mm/s2. To illustrate what happens the ¤¤¤ part is where the machine actually runs. When setting the feed at 1500 mm/s, there is an area in both ends about 2 mm untouched. 0--------¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤--------10 When setting the feed at 500 mm/s, the untouched area is smaller. 0----¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤----10 I have to go as low as below 200 mm/s to get a full run between the positions. That's really slow. 0¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤¤10 Here's the strange thing - I see the same thing in the Axis display! The simulation doesn't touch the 0 and 10 mm position when running. It doesn't explain the offset problem (X and Y really goes back to zero measured with a micrometer), that I believe is a hardware issue. But it's for sure connected to the problem that the machine doesn't touch the given positions when I run the test code. Can someone explain this?
