Ok - just checking the microstep settings - the Gecko gives 10; the stepconf defaulted to 2; that'll probably be the last thing. I did manage to manipulate the ini file (thanks for the pointers and math) to give me the right movement, but would like stepconf to do this for me. I think tomorrow morning I'll be up and running.
