If it is possible to use Modbus to know the actual motor speed then
that alone would be useful (especially for gear detection, if you have
a need for that)
If there is a thermistor connected then it would potentially be an
easy way to monitor motor temperature. (I haven't read the register
list in enough detail to be sure).

I think I am using a WJ200 myself, perhaps I ought to try my USB-modbus widget.
