I had some concerns about that myself, but since its only 1.5 HP, the belt, if the proper backgear is used, might last long enough that its not a monthly item. Too bad its not a polygroove belt about 5 ribs wide. But those pulleys are platinum plated. BTDT :( But a deal on a rebuilt Sheldon just materialized, so it could be moot.
