i'm happy with my ~15-16" touch with qtdragon_hd
on my ~11" the fonts are little bit too small
optimum i think is >=20"

OK. I don't think I asked the question correctly. I currently have a 10.1" 10
point touch screen with a resolution of 1280x800 connected to a Raspberry Pi4
running LinuxCNC 2.8.
I can tap the buttons on the AXIS screen or even jog by touching the right button on
the screen. But truthfully 1280x800 on a 10.1" screen is just too tiny to
read or to be useful.
So I've ordered the 15.6" 1080P monitor. Will this really be any better for
LinuxCNC? What's the best user interface for this size touch screen? Obviously not
AXIS. But I'm also using the PSNG touch probe software and the probe from VERSBY.
So. Google " Touch Screen interfaces for LinuxCNC " and we get "QtDragon, QtPlasmaC,
GMoccapy, and Touchy," What's the ideal interface for a smaller 15.6" screen"
So I don't care about the 10 points. But more that my finger doesn't touch 4
buttons at the same time.
Thanks
John

Yes, single point is OK, but you very quickly get used to multipoint for
things like zoom and rotate, or three fingers swips to change virtual screens
Ten points is kind of nuts as it would take two hands to get ten fingers on
the screen. Maybe OK for a multi-player game on a huge 100-inch wall-
mounted screen?
Of course, Linux has drivers. Multi-touch is handled by the HID kernel
module.

I would have zero fear. If Linux doesn't have current drivers, it will soon
have them.
As for 10 point touch screens, LinuxCNC works just fine with single point
touch screens.
