It also occurs to me that perhaps if you did update to Jaguar from 10.1.5 (it wasn't entirely clear in your original post if you still use OS 10.1.5), and you used the "Archive and Install" option, your Documents folder from your old active user would no longer be the active one, and Entourage would no longer recognize it.
