Read #7 and follow those instructions. Choose "Entourage overwrites
handheld" as the option in your conduit manager. This has worked for most
people.

This will have one unwanted effect: it will completely replace everything on
your Clie contact database. You say you have new entries in both places.
That's simply NOT a good thing to do before you have syncing working! To
preserve the new entries from your Clie, you will have to manually re-enter
them in your Entourage database (before or after the sync, but before
probably best because you still have the information in the Clie to copy
from).

Once you have a clean copy, ordinary syncing should work. The single
category option works like this: if you set things in Entourage with a
category, say named "Sync", only those items will participate in the Sync.
You will have to assign that category to an item in Entourage in order to
cause it to transfer to the Clie. Items entered in the Clie, on the other
hand, will always transfer to Entourage where they will be assigned to the
Sync category automatically. If you were, at this point, to tell the conduit
to sync with "Handheld overwrites Entourage", the contacts in the Sync
category would transfer to Entourage and would replace all contacts in all
categories. Essentially that option tells the conduit to replace the entire
contact database in Entourage (and memos, calendar events, and to dos).
Don't use that option unless that is truly what you want.

You can also use the sync by category feature in reverse, instructing the
conduit to sync everything _except_ a particular category (e.g. "NoSync").
That way, new items entered in Entourage will sync by default, and will be
omitted only if you assign the "NoSync" category to them.

I hope this helps.
