I've got the TC model with the timer and it rocks. I use mine all the time when I go camping. Setup and camera around the camp and tell it to snap a photo every couple minutes. I've been thinking about doing the same thing at some poker parties, just mount the camera in one corner of the room and let it fly! It's a blast. I've also used it as a simple cable release for longer exposures but all the extra functionality was well worth it to me.
