Hi guys, my latest install experience with KDE301 was with the texstar packages and once I was finished jumping through all the hoops kde was putting me through and the packages were installed they've been working flawlessly. now, I feel compelled to mention that kde 2.x did not exist on this machine before hand so I have a feeling that made a great deal of difference since when it "was" here and I was upgrading from it to kde 3.x it would kill the X-server each and every time leaving me with only console mode. So, my two cents would be if you've got kde 2.x on your system already and you want to upgrade then uninstall 2.x first and make sure you get it all cause if you don't "it" will make you very sorry.
