Here's Barry's problem with the quote from the post of the Mystery Cultist, and why he's doing this frantic little dance trying to talk *around* it:
Barry had insisted on Thursday that only a "diehard cultist" would attempt to excuse the "hitting" that Robin had owned up to in his Open Letter. None of Robin's supporters has done that. Robin himself didn't do that. But that's just what the Mystery Cultist *did* do. And that puts Barry in a very, very awkward spot, because the Mystery Cultist, as Barry has finally been forced to admit, was indeed Curtis, who hates Robin even more than Barry does. There's no "argument" involved here, inside my head or anywhere else. Nobody is suggesting that Curtis was *right* to excuse the hitting, contrary to what Barry pretends in this post. It's just great fun, as I knew it would be, to watch Barry wriggling and squirming in a futile attempt to avoid acknowledging yet *another* of his Big Booboos. Even more fun is the fact that if Barry weren't so agitated at having to confront his error, he could have explained why Curtis, Robin's most vehement critic, did his best to excuse the hitting in a post that was otherwise harshly condemnatory of Robin. I'll just leave Barry with that hint, see if he can get control of himself long enough to figure it out. In the meantime, my thanks to Barry for performing exactly as I expected, like a trained seal. I'm sure *his* supporters, Steve and Xeno, are proud of him. ;-) --- In FairfieldLife@yahoogroups.com, turquoiseb <no_reply@...> wrote: > > This is worth commenting on, if for no other reason > than it exemplifies another of the hallmark symptoms > of Narcissistic Personality Disorder. > > One of the things that NPD individuals are known for > is their competitiveness, and their *need* to "win," > at least in their own minds.
