I was a zoology major as an undergraduate, and only took those music courses that appealed to me. As a result, I faced the GRE in music with just one-and-a half semesters of theory under my belt, (not the first 1 1/2, but that's another story...). To pick up as much as possible of the rest before taking the exam, I picked up the Barnes and Noble College Outline volume on Music Theory, which covers everything from the rudiments right through form-and-analysis in just 300 pages of telegraphic prose. It got me into grad school, and I'll bet it'll get your guy where he's going too. -- Andrew Stiller Kallisti Music Press http://www.kallistimusic.com _______________________________________________ Finale mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mail.shsu.edu/mailman/listinfo/finale
