There are still situations where libraries do a really good job: Imagine you
change something of your engraving style, eg font for certain symbols, line
thickness, slurs etc. Now you want to update some existing files with the
same changes: Save the documents options library and load it into your other
files.
I can think of many situations where this will be the easiest way to modify
certain element.

As far as house styles go I agree with you that it may be better to use
default documents, but this will need certain modifications by Coda, eg more
File Info fields.
