If you are surviving with Finale 2002, it will be cheaper now to wait and go straight to 2004. In Australia the upgrade price is AUD$219 for Fin2002 and AUD$319 for earlier versions, So I will save $119 by skipping a version, though I miss out on the use of the latest Fianle for a year.Thank you all for your input. I checked the Coda website last night and found that the price to update to 2003 is now $109, so they have increased the price for that. I suppose it might be past the deadline for "bargain" upgrading. Or maybe they have simply raised their prices. I will try to telphone on Monday to find out what the deal is. I am inclined to not trust that the price, after skipping a version, would be as low as $140. I'll let you know what I find out. All the best, JazzKim
I did want the improved settings layout in 2003 but I didn't get round to updating (mainly because it wasn't Mac OSX native) so at this late stage I will wait.
Also - its normally cheaper for the first couple of months after the upgrade comes out.
There's actually a special deal for Secondary students in Australia at the moment - The full Finale for AUD$299 (about USD$160). Very good deal. Finale retail here is $1299
