There have been metatools pre-programmed at least since 2000, and possibly Fin98, which is where I came in.
To see which ones are pre-programmed, open a new file based on one of Coda's default files and take a look. Most of the common articulations and dynamic expressions have metatools, and all of the built-in staff styles have metatools.
