I have removed the Gliss text from the glissando marking,

Dear Christopher

PLEEEASE tell me how to do that - I think the gliss in the smart tools is
fantastic *except* for the damned text, but didn't know that it could be
removed!

Any help much appreciated!

Steven,

I am replying to the list on the assumption that there may be some others who would like to know as well.

Select the Smart Shapes Tool.

In Smart Shape menu>Smart Shape options>Smart Line Style> choose glissando in the popup box and click Select to the right. The Smart Line Style Selection box will open and you will see a bunch of possible lines. In Fin 2002 Mac, the first one is gliss with the word and the second one is the gliss without the text. Select the second one and OK your way out.

Make sure you have done this on your default file, and save it to never have to do it again (until you change default files, that is!)

I have created a whole bunch of custom lines in the Smart Shape Options dialogue box. They are pretty easy to do, if you need them.
