FWIW, Forza! will soon be able to transfer Fin2004 expressions between
files, complete with descriptions and positioning. [I just have to finish a
composition this weekend.] Then you just make the changes in one file
and directly transfer the expressions to all other files where you want
them.
That sounds really useful, as the library save/load procedure has its limits.
Can I assume that you can replace expressions that are already in use in the target document, and have the target document assume the new expression attributes? Example: I have mp dynamic attached to notes in score-B. I change the definition of mp (alignment properties) in score-A and transfer it the mp expression to score-B.
Is there a good way to print out the current metatool assignments for expressions and articulations? I haven't discovered any good way other than a screen print. That might be a good feature for a plug-in.
