I'm sure you'll hear from the still-active horn players on this list as well (I stopped playing several years ago), but horn players *are* able to read key signatures easily. No horn player receives a special education that somehow leaves out key signatures, and no horn player was ever thrown for a loop by a bunch of sharps or flats at the begnning of each system.
