holy crap that is AWESOME, i realized by accident only today that selecting awhole page of them will align them on individual staves, but didn't know that it would do it across systems as well. very kewl. of course this is most useful when dealing with the problem of custom smart shapes across several systems not sitting at the same height on each system, which i never understood.
Yes, you lose existing measure-attached smart shapes. But if you want to avoid that, you can enter the custom line on each staff one at a time, then select them all and choose "align vertically."
