I hadn't believed that glibtool would be this weird. It is hard not to 
call this a bug. In any case, the "Waiting for ...log to be removed" 
message is totally bogus.

I have tried now to build cyrus-sasl2 on a 10.5 machine on which 
/sw/src/fink.build is on a disk image (in order to test case-sensitive 
builds; I think akh had or has a similar configuration). It fails in the 
same way as for Peter D.

Some more data points:
The previous version cyrus-sasl2-2.1.13-2 built OK on the same 
configuration almost 2 years ago, but I don't know which version of 
libtool2 was installed at the time; a rather old one, I guess.
If I simply remove the file /sw/bin/glibtool, then the package builds 
OK, too. It uses /usr/bin/glibtool then, which is version 1.5.22.
