I would find the submenu more useful as it is, if the Get Info
feature worked for AIM buddies. Since that command fails silently, it
eliminates the single biggest use I would have for the submenu. Thus,
I'd love being able to just select the user's name to open a buddy
window for them.

As an alternative, I'd suggest a slight modification to the user
interface such that the Get Info menu option either is greyed out for
buddies for whom it isn't going to work (i.e. AIM users), or results
in an error message that says "Sorry, AIM won't let us show you this
buddy's info window," rather than leaving the option there but
quietly non-functional.
