Thats too bad. I cant tell if it would be a good idea to expose the
ip adress there, but I thought a bit about different services, and
had a look into a linux version of icq.

I was really surprised about some of the functionality (and the
really bad ui :).

But there are some things that I found useful. For example, there was
an easy way to connect with different services on the remote mashine
(VNC, FTP, HTTP, SSH, Finger, Timbuktu, joining a
quake/ut/to/whatever game.. etc).

Now I don't think that it would be a good Idee to implant support for
this in Fire, as it would _really_ clutter the interface, but I also
think that always asking the remote part for his IP can be very
anoying, especially if the counterpart does not now how to get it.
(Yes I could explain it everytime, but its no fun)

Therefore I think that there should be a way to get that information,
but it could be very well hidden, as it is really not needed most of
the time.

User Information seems to be the most logical point to expose it
though. Probably with an extra button in that dialog? (If it needs
some extra computation to figure it out.)

Thanks a lot,
Martin
