The column headings must be related to the dataset in some way because 
that is where the data for the columns comes from.  You have to be able 
to related the heading to the data column in order for the resulting 
grid to make sense.

That ultimately gets me to the same place as Data | Add New Data Source 
from the main menu.  And Firebird is not listed as one of the connection 
options, so I can't use that to create a typed dataset based on a 
Firebird query!

Eventually I get the the Configuration Wizard where I have to click the 
New Connection Button.  That gets me to the Add Connection dialog where 
I have to click the Change button.  Which gets me to the Change Data 
Source dialog where there are no Firebird options listed.  Which gets me 
back to one of my original questions.  What do I have to do the get 
Firebird listed as an option on the Change Data Source dialog?
