Ahh, sorry, I forgot what you're trying to do with dataset. > Ultimately, it appears as though I can't populate the column list of a > dataset without being able to create a Firebird connection (which makes > perfect sense) but I can't do it. As Carlos asked, you need to have DDEX working to see some FB connection here (and added in server explorer or you can create new). Look at Firebird website to download it. Or you can fake it, generating the designer code, it's easy, just decent editor and regular expression. ;) Or bind temp. to dummy object. -- Jiri {x2} Cincura (CTO x2develop.com) http://blog.vyvojar.cz/jirka/ | http://www.ID3renamer.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ Firebird-net-provider mailing list Firebird-net-provider@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/firebird-net-provider
