You might have been changing the way that it works along the way, but
the [X] button has been there from the very start and there are too
many people out there that have always used it the same way before 1.4
arrived.
If you want a button to deactivate it in the primary UI, then go ahead
and add it, but don't change the behavior of existing buttons in such
an important way
