To monitor network activity in Firebug 1.4 while the Firebug UI is
hidden, you need to minimize Firebug. There are two ways to do that:
1) click the Firebug Status bar Icon a second time. This mechanism
means that for sites you debug a lot, this is the only button you need
to use:
First click: ON, 2nd minimize, 3rd un-minimize, 4th, minimize. Very
convenient, try it.
2) Click the minimize button on the ui upper right corner [_].
