Being involved in commercial products with a substantial software component I can see Flex's new position to be hesitant to keep estimating ship dates. "planned", "approximately", etc. quickly become dates cast in stone in the customer's mind. Often times it's only after a key issue is resolved that another will rear its ugly head.

Issues related to the Flex 1500 USB driver have been cited as one of the show stoppers. Perhaps as the release gets closer a list of critical issues that must be resolved before boxes go out the door could be listed.
