Col1 features are mandatory before we release 1.0. We need to clear the Pending Features tracker by then. Or... mostly. I doubt we will ever implement PF#2 for instance. Anything else is not mandatory for FreeCol 1.0, and can be delayed. > And why is it wrong if something gets into the game earlier? It is not wrong. It is a question of priorities. You may have noticed the development team is time poor. If you are not working on fixing bugs or implementing missing Col1 features, it is distracting from our main goal.
