Lol yeah that's true. But here what you're talking about doing is making
users download a seperate application (or seperate functionality) for a
sperate application. After all MPlayer is a seperate application in its own
right. If you want to give users an easy way to install the latest version
of MPlayer, then sure why not. But then your not going to have an awful lot
left you can offer users...

Lol, anyway, I've talked about this far longer than I wanted to. You guys
are the developers. All I can do is follow what you decide to do. Whether I
think it makes sense or not is pretty irrelevant.

Just switch compatability off in Mplayer and ship it that way and make it
easy to switch it back on - and perhaps make a pop-up box with a disclaimer
about the legality in certain countries in doing so. That should be more
than enough to cover almost everyone's legal concerns.
