Interessting. But you can't use this version of Xine with Freevo. Not because we don't want to, but Freevo needs some special features which are n Xine only for some days. But maybe we can mix xine.py and xine_cvs.py: if xine --version < xxx fall back to the ugly hack in xine.py else do the new stuff (except for framebuffer mode because older fbxine doesn't work when started from Freevo).
