Panther is available, I got my copy my copy shipped from Apple and received it before the official launch at midnight at the local Apple Store on October 24th.
So far, I am impressed with the new cat, OSX keeps getting better with each upgrade (which it should do!). Reviews even from the PC side have all been very positive also.
