        Maxtor's return policy is not without it's flaws. Twice I 
have returned new or nearly new Maxtors on RMA's and received 
"Refurbished" maxtors in return that were older than the ones I sent 
in. One of the refurbished drives didn't work.

        I dread returning a drive to Maxtor for replacement because, 
in my experience, they don't send you a new drive and what they send 
out may or may not work.
