I have to agree with a point made earlier at length: Even if Apple wanted to place ads with Rush, its marketing management probably recognizes that this would damage Rush's credibility with the five or six of his listeners who might be critical enough in their judgement of what he says to point out that he's simply in Apple's pocket. Rush is like the rest of us: we're Apple's best salespeople, a workforce of volunteer evangelists. Jobs is probably smart enough to let it go at that, and I'm willing to bet that he would approve of advertising on conservative radio programs (even poppinjays like Limbaugh) if it made financial sense. In this case, it would damage a great source: word of (a really big) mouth.
