I'll say this again. I have installed more ATA hard disks in the last few
years than probably all of the members of this list have in their entire
lives combined. I do this for a living. Maxtor is the best ATA drive
option, and the *2* (yes..only 2) times I have had to get an RMA for a
drive it was the most painless and trouble free phone call that I have
dealt with ever. You call. Explain the problem. Get an RMA # and send it
in. They will send you a replacement the same day if you give them a
credit card # to secure the transaction and mail the defective drive back
within 15 days.
Fantastic customer service.
