Okay I just checked the compatibility list and apparently the Lite-On
40125S and 48125W are both fully supported for everything but booting.
And that isn't really acceptable. Is it possible to get a 5.25"
firewire enclosure for the CD-ROM and use that to boot with? I don't
want to have to switch the drives in the computer whenever I want to
boot from a CD.

Well... I may be able to live with it. It would be annoying having to
open the case to replace the CDRW with the CD-ROM every time I want to
boot from a CD, but I don't often boot from CDs.
