There are many ways to transfer. The simplest way is to buy an ethernet
crossover cable. It's like an ethernet cable but instead of connecting
you to a hub, it connects you to another computer. You just plug one
end into one computer and the other end into the other computer. Then
you can transfer files over the network.

Another way is to use FireWire networking. Connect a firewire cable
between the two computers and start one of them up while holding down
the "T" key. That will enable Target Disk Mode. Now the other computer
will be able to work with files from both, and it'll transfer with fast
FireWire speed.

Finally, you could always just burn CDs of the files you need and move
them over that way.
