Just doing a little reading, seems I can download v5 or v6 directly from Roxio. How much better is v6 than v5, considering I'm only using it for audio, not video? I can buy v5 for $89 and it works with both OS 9 and OS X. The newer v6 is $99 and only works with OS X. The machine I plan to use it on is a B&W G3 400 Mhz - 896 Mb RAM - 80 Gb HD with a LiteOn 4816 DVD/CDRW combo drive.

Having used 5 and now 6, to me there is a significant difference under OS X. V6 is faster. Plus if you want to play with the dual layer DVD technology when the burners and media become available? The latest update for 6 includes dual layer burning.

I don't know Jack, might be worth slightly more! :-) I'm sure I will get a DVD burner sometime in the future, but my only real reason to do so would be to copy my collection of commercial VHS tapes to DVD's and I'm told it's not possible because of the copy protection. So really the only interest to me here would be the speed increase. Just how significant is would it be on my machine?
