Hmm.. Rescued waste:

I once got a '68 Rambler American destined for the scrap yard for the cost
of installing a new windshield washer vacuuized (sp?) modulator (ran great
for 3 years until...) and a hand made Sansone double French horn destined
for the dumpster.. Does this count? :-)

p.s. The horn also played great for 3 years; then the Rambler got severely
rear-ended and the faulty party's insurance co. totaled it - the horn was in
the trunk; it too was totaled. Oh, well...!
