Try taking the front off of the DVR-107 (the rectangular piece at the end of the tray). You should be able to lightly pry it up from the bottom and lift it away when the tray is open.

That worked! At least for now, that's what I'll do and leave it at that. The new plastic "end" on the Pioneer tray is indeed about 1 mm *wider* than the end on the combo drive tray that came stock with my Sawtooth.

For now I'll go with your plan... thanks!!!
