3. Everything I do on my Macs is obviously (duh, hahaha) done in and
stored as old Classic Mac app files, and I need my ten years' worth of
archives as well as the ability to "keep working." I've seen some
complaints in here about how sometimes OS X doesn't want to run Classic
right, and that continues to scare me off.

This is what makes me hesitant over the intel Macs. I have hundreds of documents that are in Write Now, MacDraw and MacDraw Pro that I will have to convert to be readable and usable. All are usable under classic in 10.2.8 on my beige. MacDraw needs to be run in 256 color mode and WriteNow has some screen artifacts that OS 9 introduced, but not bad for apps written for system 6 (1986?) and to run in under a meg of ram.

Oh well, maybe I'll get a G5 at the fire sale.
