On top of the other reported drawbacks and problems, someone once
warned me that Google Groups "shares" your personal info with a lot of
sales "partners," and you can expect a big increase in spam after
joining. Is this true?

It appears that one will not be able to enjoy this list without
purchasing a better computer that will handle the absolute garbage

So I picked up the owner address where I asked about old fashioned SET
DIGEST and the like messages. The result was not encouraging.
