The Google Groups Team
So I picked up the owner address where I asked about old fashioned
SET DIGEST and the like messages. The result was not encouraging.
This is not a LISTERV list, and so those commands won't work. This
isn't really even a listserve, it's a web forum with a receive-via-
email option.
iCab Pre2.98 just got me onto google groups successfully with no
complaints whatsoever:
<http://dbdev2.pharmacy.arizona.edu/miscjunk/ggroups_icab.png> which
is the screen you need to be at to change your subscription mode.
You need to create a Google account with the email address the same
as the address you're getting the messages on so you can go in and
fix this.
This is why Dan has stopped recommending people use the mail
interface to subscribe: all that gets you is the mail, individually.
(and now I have *ten* browsers installed on my system:
Firefox, Mac and Windows (in VPC)
Mozilla, OS X and OS 9
Wamcom OS 9
iCab OS 9
Netscape 4.8 OS 9
Camino
Safari
Shiira)
