hear hear!

Sitting in the stands, it was tough to gauge the game. Was our offense out
of sync? Was the play-calling not adjusted to what scUM was giving us?
Were we just lethargic? Is scUM's defensive front that good? Is our
offensive line that bad (I'm resisting naming names, here :-))? Probably a
little of everything. It seemed like the fans showed up ready to do their
part, but by the second quarter it felt like we were just waiting for the
team to give us anything to cheer about.

I agree with whoever was reminded of the NC Tenn team, because I also felt
that the Gators never panicked. They were very workmanlike on offense, and
kept plugging away until things finally clicked. That being said, I don't
want to see this in many more games, as the level of competition will only
increase and I don't need any more anxiety.

As Helen noted, the weather was unusually hot and humid for a late game.
Also, the new band uniforms are really really nice.

As we were walking back to the car and I was rethinking the game, I realized
how crazy our expectations have gotten. I felt like we didn't play very
well, etc., but the bottom line is: we won by 23 (covering the spread) and
held them to a field goal. It may not have been as easy or dominant as I
would have liked, but by most realistic measures, it was a butt-kicking, and
today scUM and fsu fans are crying that we ran up the scorre. SWEET! :-)
