Well, I'm all for helping new guys and gals out. However, if they don't chime in or even show up for newbie hour what can we do? Also, I have to counter your statement about an ego issue of late. All of our recent speakers have been very open and ask for questions throughout the presentations. >Clickers is an organization that is primarily made of newbies, whereas >BRLUG is made up of somewhat experienced geeks at least the ones that >contribute regularly on the list and in the meetings. However, I personally feel that if we have a newbie issue then we should address the problem via the newbie hour and by inviting members of the Clickers to the hour. If BRLUG members want to work with Clickers on a new Linux SIG that's fine. My concern is that we are spreading the Linux user base a bit thin.
