I started the BRLUG Newbie Hour as an informal kinda thing where newbies can ask questions, but they want more. Clickers apparently wants to try the Linux SIG idea again and they are asking BRLUG members if they would like to help get it started. I never intended to organize anything more formal or more polished in BRLUG, so I'm happy that Clickers wants to handle that kind of thing. What do you mean when you say "spreading the Linux user base a bit thin"? How is this possible? The situation is very simple: Sue Smith would like to start (or try again to start) a Linux SIG. You and Tim say that is redundant effort (whose effort?). I say that I'm the only one volunteering my time to help newbies in person at the BRLUG Newbie Hour and I don't have the time to organize it better. What do you recommend then?
