I am in no way a linux expert. But, I'm willing to use my experiences
to help newbies out. I'm more of an intermediate user I guess. I've
basically discovered how to get my system to do everything I want it to
do. I'm pretty sure that it's not the most efficient ways I find, but I
got it working nonetheless. I love the idea behind Linux and I'm
constantly talking to people about it. I've used my dad as an
experiment as a matter of fact. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that
Linux is as easy to learn as Windows. It's just hard to make that leap
from windows if you're already programmed that way. My dad has never
used a computer in his life. In a couple of hours, I taught him how to
log on, ,access his own e-mail, and surf the web. He had no problems,
that is, after I switched my mouse around because he's left handed.

So, if I can help in any way, let me know, I'd be more than happy to.
I've only been to the one meeting at Brewbacher's, so I don't know how
newbie hour works or anything, but I'm more than willing to show up
early and help people out, if possible.

Cordially,
Douglas Adams
